After an incredible sold out debut tour Tom Houghton has announced his second UK tour, Absolute Shambles. The comedian and Tik Tok star will be fresh from appearing in Netflix’s The Circle and supporting Milton Jones when he starts on his own string of dates this year – including a run in Yorkshire.

We caught up with Tom to find out about his connections to Yorkshire:
Where’s your favourite place to visit in Yorkshire??
Probably home! My parents met at Catterick Garrison, I grew up around Richmond and the family pad is Melsonby just by Scotch corner.
Do you have a favourite place to eat in Yorkshire?
Anywhere that does a good Yorkshire pudding. I like the massive ones when the rest of the meal is inside it. The Sunday roast is the king of British cuisine, and the Yorkshire pudding is its crown!
Have you ever travelled to Yorkshire for sport – if so, tell us a bit about those visits?
Oh yes, lots. I when to prep school up Sutton bank and played a lot of rugby all over. Usually ending up with some outrageous nights out in York or Leeds.
It’s a whirlwind tour – what sort of accommodation do you stay in between performances?
Well, it’s a combination of friends and family. But also, Yorkshire do BnBs better than anywhere. You can’t beat that northern hospitality. Plus, they know how to make a proper mug of tea.
Will you get a chance to go sightseeing? Anything in particular you’d like to see?
I’m not sure I will. But over the years I have spent many a happy hour driving across the Peak District. My Dad was born in Otley so its always a pleasure to take in the breath-taking countryside around that area.
What’s it all about?
Tom is currently on a reality tv show on Netflix called The Circle.
He is also known for Roast Battle and is the critically acclaimed star of BBC, Comedy Central and Channel 4’s First Dates.
He has been storming the comedy circuit with his hilarious stories and sharp-eyed silver spoon observations for the past 5 years. Whether it’s growing up with a Dad who is the Ex-Chief of Defence Staff, living in the Tower of London or lifting the lid on the all-boys boarding school environment, every tale will fascinate, make you think and at the same time have you in stitches.
