Officials have confirmed that from today, Yorkshire will operate on ‘Yorkshire Time’, which is exactly 10 minutes behind the rest of the UK. The move is designed to give locals ‘a bit more time to get ready, finish their brew, or just not rush about like they do down south.
A spokesman from Sheffield said:
“We’re not slow — we’re just relaxed. And if that means missing the 9:00am train by 10 minutes, then so be it.”
So don’t forget to wind your clocks back — just enough time for another cuppa before cracking on!
And Yorkshire will be twinned with Newfoundland, which is 30 minutes different from the rest of Canada
