Yorkshire is famous for providing the finest local produce and foodie gifts. The region’s farm shops offer a multitude of delights which include mature grass-fed beef, Dales lamb, rhubarb, apples, chocolates and beer.

Burton Agnes Hall in East Yorkshire has a Farmers Food Store which is packed with seasonal Yorkshire produce including the Hall’s own game, fruit and vegetables.

Cannon Hall Farm, Barnsley Famous for it’s notoriously good home produced beef, pork & lamb this Farm Shop has twice been a finalist in the White Rose Awards “Taste of Yorkshire” competition. They use traditional farming and butchery methods handed down through the generations to provide some of the finest quality meat you’ll taste anywhere.

Farmer Copleys Farm Shop, Pontefract – locally sourced fully traceable foods and great variety. Winner of Harvey Nichols Taste Awards for their Beef and Steak Pies two years in a row, and a finalist at the Butchers Shop Of The Year Awards 2006.

Castle Howard Farm Shop – With a choice of local produce in the award-winning Farm Shop, handmade confectionery in the Chocolate Shop and estate grown plants, trees and shrubs in the Plant Centre. The Carriage House sells home lifestyle goods and accessories, and the Bookshop has something to interest bookworms of all ages. Shoppers can enjoy seasonal menus in the Courtyard Café.

With a wide variety of produce as locally sourced as possible, a traditional butchery counter, cured meats, a large selection of cheeses, olives, cakes, vegetables, wines, real ales, preserves, fresh bread, takeaway sandwiches, freshly prepared ready meals… the list goes on, Vanessa Delicatessen & Café in Beverley really does have it all!

Newby Hall Farm shop – recently voted in the top 50 farm shops by The Daily Telegraph. Ninety per cent of the food sold in this farm shop is sourced from within 40 miles, including traditionally reared meat and game from the estate’s own farms, artisan bread, locally grown vegetables and other Yorkshire goodies.

Drewton’s, South Cave – Top-notch produce, which is locally sourced and delivered daily – a very good reason to pay Drewton’s a visit. They work closely with over 140 local farmers and suppliers to ensure that their customers have access to the highest-quality produce, whilst upholding high standards of freshness, flavour and traceability.

Blacker Hall Farm Shop, Based in Wakefield and offering a vast range of fresh meat direct from their own farm, plus freshly baked bread and baking, this family run farm shop has quickly become renowned for its exceptional quality fresh produce, earning it the accolade of UK’s Best Farm Shop (FARMA 2014). 

Kilnsey Park, Skipton visit Kilnsey Estate farm shop for their famous rainbow trout and award-winning produce from our smokehouse, including smoked trout fillets, pates and pies. They also stock a wide range of Yorkshire Dales produce and can make up special hampers. The cosy café/restaurant is open all day for a full menu of seasonal local Dales dishes, light snacks and cream teas. 

Visit award-winning Keelham Farm Shop in Thornton, Bradford. As they’re based on a working farm, they’re passionate about sourcing local produce and are well-known for providing great tasting, fresh and affordable food, sourced directly from over 250 Yorkshire producers and farmers. Their 25-strong team of expert butchers combine over 200 years’ experience between them to bring you the very best locally sourced meat and poultry – over 40% of their produce has been made on their premises; from homemade sausages, to home roast meats and succulent sirloin steaks. For the family to enjoy there’s a fun Animal Croft with pigs, chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep and lambs, suitable for all ages. Also proud Winners of Countryside Alliance Local Food Award Yorkshire 2011, runners-up for three years running in Butcher’s Shop of the Year Awards, and finalists in Deliciously Yorkshire Awards for Best Retailer of Local Products 2011.

The Whole Hogg, Malton, with real old-fashioned charm, the Farm Shop boasts a well stocked butchery and delicatessen and sells a wide selection of traditional farmhouse produce including organic vegetables, jams, chutneys, bread and home-baking. Beautifully located in a converted cart shed on our traditional working farm, the Whole Hogg Farm Shop and Tearoom, enjoys a picturesque and tranquil setting close to the banks of the River Derwent in Ryedale, North Yorkshire.

Bert’s Barrow – Bert’s Barrow have a wide range of award winning products from independent producers who either smoke, make, grown or bake their produce her in Yorkshire. Winner of Yorkshire’s Finest Taste Award for Best Fresh Produce with their £15 mixed fruit, veg and salad box which is delivered locally for free. The farm shop stocks their own free range eggs, the honey is produced from bees kept on the farm land.

The Local Pantry in Pool has three clear objectives: 1. To offer you the best local food from local farmers and producers to buy, eat in the café or cook at home. 2. To provide local farmers and producers another outlet alongside their own farm shops or farmers markets. 3. To support the local community, the rural economy and the environment providing a meeting place for local family and friends while promoting the best of Yorkshire to the many passing tourists.

William’s Farm Kitchen provides customers with the chance to eat, drink and buy the very best local food and drink. The shop has a large butchery section where all meat is sourced locally. The deli counter also stocks a large range of cheeses with 14 sourced from Yorkshire.

Henshelwoods Delicatessen, York – Henshelwoods stocks all the vital deli ingredients you need to turn your dinner party into a gourmet feast, and a top chef on hand to help out with some of those tricky culinary queries. But even the best intentioned have days when shopping is simply beyond them, and those are the days to call in and pick up one of Kirk’s meals to take home, heat, and eat. Convenience food as it should be – fresh and flavoursome.

The Balloon Tree Farmshop and Cafe are a true and market led farmshop because they grow the majority of our products ourselves in light sandy soil which gives a unique flavour to our homegrown produce.

Fodder – Fodder is the only food shop and café in the UK where all profits go to a farming charity – Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Supporting over 350 Yorkshire farmers, growers and producers, Fodder sells the very best food and drink from the county with a full butchery counter, a deli counter laden with fresh pies, pasties and a huge variety of amazing cheese.
