It’s been so very difficult to whittle the list down to just ten within a county famed for its scenery and heritage sites but if we absolutely had to pick, here would be our choices:

Impeccably pruned gardens surround this Treasure House of England filled with art collections that rival the finest across Britain. Within the 100 acres of grounds there’s sure to be one spot perfect for asking for the hand of the one you cherish the most.
Spectacular views of Ilkley and beyond are promised atop the rock formation affectionately referred to as the Cow & Calf. A fantastic photography spot if you want the special moment captured in film as well as your hearts.
If you’re looking for a more private or over-dinner ask then Manor House is a gorgeous location to book ahead and take your love to get engaged either in the stunning Lantern Room Restaurant, across the grounds or in your stunning boutique room after a fine dining experience.
Is your groom or bride-to-be a Downton Abbey fan? Then this could be the perfect backdrop for creating one of your most precious held memories together. With the Hall itself, gardens and boating options you’re not short of options at this location.
