Drawing York Minster’s Glass

York Minster is one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals. Since the 7th century, the Minster has been at the centre of Christianity in the north of England and is a masterpiece in stained glass and stone; including the largest expanse of medieval stained glass in the entire country – the Great East Window. They’re now on the lookout for the next expert stained glass designer and want your help!

Using this template, draw a colourful scene of something you enjoy, your family, or maybe even pay homage to the wonderful essential workers keeping our country running at the moment to display proudly in your window at home.

Then share your pictures on twitter using #YorkshireTogether (don't forget to tag in @York_Minster and @Welcome2Yorks!) or, if you're not on Twitter, email your entry through to [email protected].

The most creative entry will be chosen on Wednesday 6 May.

As well as being declared the winner online, York Minster will send you a very special stained glass roundel to hang at home.
