Yorkshire’s Eggtastic Hunting Ground

Easter wouldn’t be the same without an Easter egg hunt and this year it’s no different.

The busy Easter Bunny has been visiting some of the best Yorkshire attractions hiding eggs from you lot and we need your help to find them all. Here’s a few delightful eggventures for you to get stuck into this season.

Burton Constable – Easter Egg Trail

6/4/19 – 22/4/19

Search upstairs and downstairs to find the beautifully decorated eggs hidden in the many rooms of the Hall. If you find them all you will receive an Easter treat!

Mother Shipton's - Hoppy Easter Adventure Trail

1/4/19 - 28/4/19

Hop along to Mother Shipton’s during the Easter Holidays for a hoppingly fun time. Follow the trail and on your way, help Little Bo Peep find her sheep! You can also meet bunnies Betty and Clover and solve puzzles and clues for a chocolatey treat. The park will be transformed creating an engaging and interactive Easter event suitable for all the family.

William's Den - Easter at The Den

Join William's Den for a traditional egg and spoon race or embark on a quest for eggs around The Den in their exciting Egg- Hunt Challenge! If you are feeling really energetic, do The Bunny Bop, so head on down and show off your dance moves!

Burton Agnes Hall – Easter Egg Hunt

6/4/19 - 22/4/19

Children are invited to take part in an Easter trail around the magnificent grounds of the Hall, solving clues while exploring the extensive gardens. Once the conundrum has been solved, every child will receive an Easter treat. There are puzzles to solve and games to play, while in the craft tent children can get creative with colouring. Excitingly, there is a giant golden egg to find, which the Easter Bunny has been hidden somewhere in the grounds!

Ryedale Folk Museum - Easter Eggs and Games


With traditional toys and games, a dress up section and traditional Easter games such as egg rolling and egg tossing - the Ryedale Folk Museum has it all this Easter. There is an opportunity to put a spin on traditional painted eggs by using marzipan or fondant icing to make for a tasty Easter treat and there are eggs hidden all over the museum... find them all to claim your prize!

Goldsborough Hall - Easter Trail

15/4/19 - 26/4/19

A special Easter trail will be set in grounds of the Hall. Can you find all the letters and numbers from each of the wooden eggs that are hidden around the gardens and complete the anagram? Prizes are awarded to the winners!

Once you have completed the trail, the family can then enjoy for Brunch in the Hall. Served from 10am - 11am and includes an Eggstra Royal Breakfast. Choose from Eggs Benedict, Royal or Florentine or simply a Full Yorkshire breakfast with poached eggs in the beautiful setting of this 17th century home.
