Yorkshire’s Eggtastic Hunting Ground

Easter wouldn’t be the same without an Easter egg hunt and this year it’s no different.

The busy Easter Bunny has been visiting some of the best Yorkshire attractions hiding eggs from you lot and we need your help to find them all. Here’s a few delightful eggventures for you to get stuck into this season.

The Great Studfold Easter Egg and Fairy Hunt

Come along with the whole family and enjoy this popular annual event. Pick up a clue sheet and explore and discover large willow nests and brightly coloured eggs and answers!... Discover the Studfold Spring Faires and their countryside friends. Count the Gold Rabbits...! Collect and colour a Studfold Easter Badge and fairy wish seed paper to make at reception and look out for crafty things to do.. While stocks last, create your own egg on a stick in our new craft area near the cafe.

Easter Eggspress, Huddersfield

Hop aboard the Kirklees Light Railway's Easter Eggspress and travel by steam train to meet the Easter Bunny! The clumsy Bunny has dropped his crunchy carrots in the playground at Shelley and needs your help to gather them up. Everyone who helps the Bunny will receive a chocolate treat and, if you manage to find one of the Bunny's golden eggs, you'll win a special prize.

Next up are the Egg & Spoon Races where kids, mums, dads, grannies, granddads and everyone in between can join in, with even more chocolatey treats for those taking part. There will be platform rides, bouncy castles, giant lawn games, Artifaces face painting, a children's entertainer, the Clayton Flyer mini railway, our adventure playgrounds and the chance to do Easter crafts - all included in the cost of your ticket along with your return train ride!

Burton Agnes Hall – Easter Egg Hunt

Children are invited to take part in an Easter trail around the magnificent grounds of the Hall, solving clues while exploring the extensive gardens. Once the conundrum has been solved, every child will receive an Easter treat. There are puzzles to solve and games to play, while in the craft tent children can get creative with colouring. Excitingly, there is a giant golden egg to find, which the Easter Bunny has been hidden somewhere in the grounds!

Easter Egg Trail - The Piece Hall

Woolly the Sheep has lost her chocolate eggs, can you help her find them? Discover some hidden eggs in the shop windows and crack the code for a sweet treat!

Easter Adventure Quest, Brodsworth Hall

Join the hunt for dragon eggs on a legendary quest this Easter holiday. Crack the clues as you and your family follow the trail through the gardens. Intrepid adventurers who track down the dragon egg will get a certificate and a sticker to prove it, and there’ll be a chocolate treat too! You can get questing at Brodsworth Hall every day of the school holidays. It costs just £1 per child, and there’s no need to book.

The Great Ingleton Easter Egg Hunt

Fun for all the family on this now Famous Egg Hunt. Enjoy the stroll around the village as you hunt for the eggs. 

Hoppity Hop Easter at Mother Shipton's Cave

Hoppity Hop to Mother Shipton’s for a cracking Easter with all the family. Learn about the hatching process and see real eggs in incubators, you might even catch them hatching into fluffy little chicks! This trail guides you through the magical woodland with plenty of photo opportunities and actor-led activities along the way. All Easter activities are included in the admission price. Find all the woodland bunnies hopping through the park, and help Mr McGregor create a vegetable garden masterpiece! Little gardeners can decorate a pot, then plant a Sunflower seed to take home and grow. There are also eggs to decorate so you can create your own colourful keepsake.
