Join Mark Reid, author of The Inn Way guidebooks and Mountain Leader, on a National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) course in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales this spring.
On each walk Mark doesn’t just bring his walking boots and a map, but also 23 years (and 21,000 miles) of professional outdoor experience.
The 2-day NNAS Bronze course is ideal for novices and beginners, whilst the 3-day NNAS ‘Straight to Silver’ course is perfect for more experienced walkers.
Although the courses are based around navigating and map-reading, all participants gain much more. Each day gives you the opportunity to plan and follow your own walks, helping you feel more confident in the outdoors so you can explore further and discover new areas of the beautiful county (and beyond) without relying on others.
Each course is informal and relaxed, offering plenty of practical experience in the Yorkshire Dales countryside, shared with a small group of like-minded people.
As well as the NNAS sessions, Mark’s Boots and Beer Walking Weekenders are always popular, with a full programme of evening entertainment, a choice of walks, and, as you might expect, beer!
