The Christmas Adventure, Stockeld Park, Wetherby

For a truly magical and memorable Christmas Adventure experience for all the family, visit the sensational Stockeld Park for skating, skiing, Santa and so much more .

Light sculptures of unicorns, reindeer, flamingos and a mesmerising display of illuminated fountains dancing across a lake are among the fabulous features to discover at this winter wonderland near Harrogate.

With 100,000 lights in a dazzling display, festooning a trail almost a mile long, Stockeld’s winter illuminations are among the biggest and brightest in the country. Together with a captivating soundscape, the park’s award-winning Enchanted Forest transforms into a magical spectacle with tree canopies lit up in awe-inspiring rainbow colours at twilight, that visitors can enjoy on foot or by skiing along Europe’s longest synthetic Nordic ski trail, running adjacent to the walking path.

As well as the after-dark display, there’s plenty of daytime festive fun. Lose yourself in a vast, snowflake-shaped yew tree maze and discover at its heart a unique revolving stainless steel globe sculpture.

Get your skates on and take to the park’s 630 square metre rink, with fabulous open-air views across the picturesque parkland and visit the great man himself at Santa’s Grotto.

For a full-on festive experience choose a Christmas tree from the estate’s hugely impressive selection to take home. With more than half-a-million grown, Stockeld Park is Yorkshire’s biggest and perhaps most renowned Christmas tree grower.

So for a sprinkling of seasonal sparkle, the spectacular Stockeld Park really is an amazing Christmas adventure in a winter wonderland!
