Stopped off with my son for a pint and a bite to eat on our way to a gig in Leeds. The place appears to be run by Northern Monk Brewery, with the food outlets sublet. There is a decent selection on Northern Monk beers, and a great range of food options, dirty burgers and loaded fries, pizzas, falafel and bao buns (though this one was closed). We opted for the loaded fries and wings, with a couple of pints of Faith. Great choice if we do admit it ourselves. The atmosphere was really chilled, and, as it's slightly off the well worn path the those on the lash use, was friendly and a lot less lairy.
Great little food hall with different options to chose from! I had the salad bowl with chicken shawarma, grilled halloumi and falafel, with a side of wings for £13.50 what a bargain. It was delicious, the salad was fresh I'm salivating writing this now! Service only 4 star as we were at a gig later and we overheard a staff member saying to some other customers that if you show a ticket you get 20% off! I love a discount and unfortunately we missed it but still happy to pay what we did. Drinks were good too brilliant selection as always from northern monk. Visit!!!
Had a brilliant time at Northern Food Market. The atmosphere was buzzing, loads of great food options, and it’s such a good spot to spend an afternoon or evening. Special shout-out to Emma and Ash at the bar — they genuinely made the visit even better. Super friendly, great banter, and top-class service throughout. You can tell when staff actually enjoy what they do, and it really adds to the whole experience. Will definitely be back — highly recommend!
First time here and absolutely loved it - i will be back here for sure. We had the loaded burgers which were incredible- lots of food to choose from and vegan/ veggie options too. Great place to come after work / with a group. Service is super quick - so perfect for us as we had a gig to get to. Staff friendly and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
This was our first visit and it won't be our last. It was a quiet afternoon but the place still had a great vibe. All the staff were friendly and willing to help and explain their dishes. I won't mention all the vendors, other reviews have covered this, but there is something for everyone with a good range of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We opted for the dishes offered by Six Slice and The Lucky Snake. I chose the Go Figure pizza from Six Slice, a delicious pizza with mozzarella, brie, figs and jam. It was a great choice especially as I was in a 'sweet tooth' mood. It was accompanied with the best curly fries I have tasted, cooked to perfection. My partner chose the Belly Pork with egg fried rice. Both of us had generous portions but not too much for a lunchtime. Unfortunately I did not get to sample the beers on offer so I will just have to go back for a second round. I suggest that anyone reading this and the other reviews here should do the same. You will not be disappointed!
