A new album and a massive tour

The whole tour is in support of their fifth studio album, titled ‘everyone for ten minutes’, which is set to drop on Friday 22nd May. This is a band known for creating records that feel both personal and massive at the same time, and this one sounds like it will be no exception. The big London show is booked for the legendary Eventim Apollo on Thursday 3rd December, a venue that has seen its fair share of iconic performances. For fans in Yorkshire, the date to circle is Thursday 26th November, when the band will be taking over the O2 Academy in Leeds. It's fantastic to see such a major international act making a stop in our part of the world, alongside other major UK cities like Birmingham and Manchester.

How to get your hands on tickets

Right, let's get to the important bit: how to get tickets. For a tour this big, you’ll need to be on the ball. There are a couple of chances to get in early. The Album pre-sale gives fans who pre-order the new record a chance to buy tickets from Wednesday 15th April at 10am local time. There is also an O2 Pre-sale that begins at the same time. If you miss out on those, the general sale for all remaining tickets goes live on Friday 17th April, also at 10am. It’s a good idea to set a reminder on your phone for these dates because they’re likely to go quickly. What’s also really great is that for every single ticket sold, £1 will be donated to The Ally Coalition, a brilliant organisation that supports LGBTQ+ youth. So, you get to see an amazing gig and support a great cause at the same time.

So, who are Bleachers?

For anyone who hasn't had the pleasure, Bleachers are fronted by Jack Antonoff. The name might sound familiar because he's a bit of a music genius who has won thirteen Grammy Awards for his work, not just with Bleachers, but also producing for some of the biggest names in music. Think Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and Lorde. The band has been releasing fantastic music since their debut album ‘Strange Desire’ back in 2014. But it’s their live show where they really shine. They have a reputation for being one of the most energetic and passionate bands you can see. It's not just hype; major music magazines have raved about them. Rolling Stone called them a “live juggernaut” and Billboard praised their “ferocious, life-affirming stage presence.” This incredible energy is one of the band's greatest assets.

What's the new music like?

The new album, ‘everyone for ten minutes’, sounds like it's going to be another classic. The press release describes it as an optimistic and hopeful record that feels “lovestruck”. It promises to jump between different styles – from harmony-filled folk-rock to shimmering pop, all with that classic New Jersey sound they’re known for (yes, that means plenty of saxophone!). They’ve already given fans a taste of what’s to come with a few singles. They released the infectious ‘you and forever’ earlier this year, followed by the Americana-influenced ‘dirty wedding dress’, and most recently, ‘the van’. It's the kind of music that's perfect for singing along to with thousands of other people, whether you're at a show in Amsterdam or the O2 Academy in Leeds. People are already buzzing about the new tracks online, so expect these songs to be huge when they play them live.
