|Peter Morris, a top name in family law with more than 25 years of experience, has taken his expertise to arch.law, a cutting-edge distributed law firm that’s shaking up how legal services are delivered. He’s not making the move alone—his trusted Legal Assistant, Hannah Wells, is joining him. Together, they’re bringing their client-focused approach to a firm that prides itself on blending collaboration with smart legal tech.

Where you can find Peter
Peter will continue to serve clients across the country but will now be based at arch.law’s Leeds Collaboration Hub on East Parade and its brand-new London Collaboration Hub at 8 Bishopsgate. If you’re dealing with a high-stakes divorce, a complex separation, or anything involving family finances, Peter’s the lawyer you want in your corner.
A track record of success
Peter’s career speaks for itself. He’s held leadership positions as Partner and Head of Family Law at the Leeds offices of both Shoosmiths and Irwin Mitchell. In 2022, he co-founded Watson Morris Family Law, proving his entrepreneurial spirit.
Beyond the boardroom, he’s a trained collaborative lawyer and an active member of Resolution, an organisation that promotes constructive family law solutions. He also sits on Resolution’s Wellbeing Committee, showing his dedication to supporting both clients and fellow lawyers.
Why arch.law?
For Peter, this isn’t just a career move—it’s a strategic decision. He sees arch.law as the perfect platform to grow his business while staying laser-focused on client needs. His goal? To double the size of the business within two years.
“After years at some of the UK’s biggest law firms, I’m genuinely excited to join arch.law,” says Peter. “Their entrepreneurial approach and use of technology give me the best of both worlds—freedom to focus on clients while having the support of a forward-thinking firm.”
When handling high-net-worth divorces, where business assets and international complexities come into play, having access to arch.law’s corporate legal expertise and global hubs is a game-changer.
“With the addition of the London Collaboration Hub, I can now be where my clients need me most,” Peter adds. “Many of my cases involve London courts and barristers, and this presence gives me the edge in delivering fast, strategic, and high-quality advice.”
What arch.law says
Peter’s arrival is a big win for arch.law. CEO Andrew Leaitherland is thrilled to welcome him:
“Peter brings a wealth of experience and a stellar reputation in family law. His decision to join arch.law highlights our ability to provide a clear, forward-thinking path for entrepreneurial lawyers who want to grow their business while delivering outstanding service.”
The bigger picture
This move further cements arch.law as a leader in the distributed law firm model—a structure that mixes cutting-edge technology with a team of highly skilled legal professionals. Founded in 2021 by Andrew Leaitherland, the firm has expanded rapidly, now boasting over 100 members and 10 Collaboration Hubs across the UK, Australia, and Canada.
With Peter Morris now on board, arch.law strengthens its position as a go-to firm for high-end family law matters. If you’re facing a complex divorce or family dispute, you now have access to one of the best in the business—powered by a firm that’s redefining the future of legal services.
