Why trek to Stonehenge when Stourtonhenge is on your doorstep (if you come from Leeds). Not as big as the real thing but it's better than nowt. It is located in a surprisingly quiet area, between the River Aire and the Aire and Calder Navigation near to Thwaite Mills. Itvdies not get inundated with New Age Travellers or Druids, mostly people passing by on the Trans Pennine Trail.

Unexpected find by the side of the River Aire on a winter walk. Looks ancient but is actually not very old! Peaceful spot.

Had a vision quest here. The great god Cernunnos appeared to me and said that Elmet will rise again and Leeds will be the seat of the first galactic empire. Pretty cool place.
