A haven for TV drama, the area is best known for ITV’s Where the Heart Is series filmed mainly in Marsden and Slaithwaite, and the BBC’s iconic Last of the Summer Wine comedy. More recently, Marsden played host to the BBC 3 zombie drama In the Flesh, ITV’s Jericho, and the blockbuster A Monster Calls. Fans of Last Tango in Halifax can stock up at the supermarket where Gillian works – the Co-op in the centre of Marsden.
