Take Son who loves it, the new woodlands renovations in kids area is really imaginative, which helps set the scene, its on the lower ground so it's kind of seperate so the kids can have fun without being too disruptive, with multiple small sections to relax, many books for all ages. Staff are lovely and welcoming, son was laughing so loud last time and as I was trying to calm him (as it's a library) staff heard and came reassured they appreciate the laughter which was really nice.
We visited on Thursday with our 4 grandchildren. There was a crafts activity table and the staff were so friendly and helpful with the older two, Dexter & Isla who are 10 & 8, they loved making their scenic jars, complete with lights, mini toadstools and lots more forest themed items. Our 2 year old twin grandbabies, Evie & Oscar even joined in at the end. The childrens section of the library has been revamped and I can honestly say it's the best library I've been in for children, which is fantastic as we have a family of bookworms. We will be regular visitors from now on. Thank you to all the staff!! X
Excellent place to use the Internet for free in a quiet environment. Friendly helpful staff with computers, books, audio books, vdeos all available free and the use of colour laser printers or black and white for a very small fee. There will always be a need for paper even in a digital paperless world.
I have been to this library 3 times within the space of a month, here's my opinion. There is a constant high pitch noise that doesn't ever seem to go away. The chairs are not comfy within the computer area. You cannot charge any electrical device on the premise - I come here to work and unfortunately I need to find someone else to charge my equipment. Staff are friendly and let you know you can't sit in certain areas even though no-one else is in; and those areas have better chairs. The wifi is good - I'm writing this review using it. Would I come again? yes maybe for an hour until my laptop needs a charge.
Went to a nice craft group today. Everyone was really friendly towards me. Its a nice library. I took my own crafts as did everyone else. It was fab and I will be going again π
