Since new owners took over and turned it into a cafe. Sandwiches are my favourite in town, big and tasty, great value for the size, and the Sunday dinners are cooked to perfection with deserts are deliciousaswell, can'tfault place as of yet. Even when flat out staff's friendly.
Did quite a mixed order and was not disappointed. Spam fritter was excellent and very good portion. Fish and chips were beautiful, fish was pure white. Veggie burger was lovely and salad very fresh. Beef in gravy with chips went down very well. Very good prices and excellent service. Would highly recommended.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service is always fast and reliable. The food is delicious, especially the slow cooked beef. Chips are always cooked to perfection. Very fairly priced too.
People are lovely and friendly, they would get 5* as for the food OMG what did i buy? I was told the fish is small due to costs, I was fine with that, and its made to order, again fine at lest its not been sitting there all afternoon, so the fish is cooked, i didnt see what it looked like cooked, or the chips, so i get home and open it, WOW the fish was waffer thin and the batter? was this oily gloop that didnt even stick to the waffer thin fish it just slid off when i picked the fish up, it wasnt even batter as we know it, i cant even discribe it, as for the chips, what the hell!!! now we all love crispy chips, these should have been crispy with how brown they were, they wasnt, they were like days stale warmed up god knows how many times, so disapointing how this chippy has gone down hill. NEVER again will i buy from there
