Had a fab lunch, the food is always great and the menu always has something new on it. This week I had the Shorthorn loaded fries, they were delicious, and a latte, the coffee they use is really good. My other half had the breakfast bun, which also looked nice.

Lovely little coffee shop located on the corner of Burlam Road and Roman Road Middlesbrough. Nice cozy friendly atmosphere with some outside seating. Breakfast sandwich was lovely and great coffee with very friendly service. Also not too far from Albert Park so great stop of if you enjoy Parkrun on a Saturday morning. It would be nice to see a slightly larger breakfast menu or even a Burnham Bear Breakfast as this could quite easily be a regular morning stop off. Keep up the good work it's nice to see good independents popping up.

Beautiful brunch, bountiful breakfast and delicious dinners here at Burlam Bear - just had the Sourdough Toast with avo, eggs and chorizo while partner had the Chicken with Corn, fries, dips and slaw. The Mexican Cola had a surprisingly fruity taste and the Matcha Latte was super creamy. It was fast, tasty and reasonably priced - just what you need for a Friday treat. Thanks team, see you again soon!

This was our second visit to Burlam Bear. A proper little hidden gem in Boro. Ample car parking and step free access, dog friendly and with a toilet just beside the front door. Beautifully decorated inside and a real eye for detail on all the stoneware used. The menu is amazing and really liked how each item has a breakdown of what’s in it. We had fussy eaters in our party and worried there might not be something for them but the staff went above and beyond to offer changes and options to suit everyone. We had the padron pepper to start special monkfish cheeks in a katsu sauce with pickled cucumber with thick cut chips to share and it was cooked to perfection. Have previously tried haggis balls and pork belly as well and they were incredible. Really really impressed with a new business here and highly recommend visiting!

Stumbled across this place! Lovely little cafe, great coffee and although I didn’t have food it looked very good. Support your independent shops and try this place, you will not be disappointed.
