Great B & B. Beautiful grounds and location. Walking distance to two pubs, both which serve food. Our bedroom and en suite, were simply furnished but had everything you needed and were clean and tidy. Bed was very comfy.

A very special place. I’ve read a few comments by disgruntled people that didn’t have a good experience booking their room. Please be aware that the staff are extremely nice but we are all human. They do their best to preserve the spirit and essence of hospitality with reverence for God and the religious community they serve. This is not a “full English” b&b. This is a very big privilege to share a space where many have dedicated their lives to peace and solitude. We need to respect that.

Set in a working Monastery they ask that you keep the noise down. They do allow you to roam the 20 acre grounds freely. Very good value stay. Breakfast is cereals, toast and or boiled egg.
