North Yorkshire Water Park Hosts Celebration Of World Champion Cheerleaders

in North Yorkshire

The East Coast Tigers senior cheerleading squad, fresh off their recent triumph as World Champions at the All-Star World Championships in Florida, celebrated their win in spectacular fashion with a fun-filled day at North Yorkshire Water Park.

The team from Eastfield, near Scarborough, immersed themselves in an action-packed day of land and water activities, including the newly revamped Aquaparks, Adventure Wood, and more – further building upon the teamwork that brought them their recent success on the world stage.

A Day of Celebration and Adventure

The local cheer squad were among the first to try out the newly revamped Warrior and Wipeout Aquaparks, which are back and better than ever for 2024, featuring the all-new El Jefe attraction.

This latest addition boasts a giant climbing wall, breathtaking jump stations, and an exhilarating slide with a kicker exit, offering an unmissable experience for all visitors. The East Coast Tigers embraced the challenge, celebrating their world championship victory with high-energy fun and competitive spirit.

Land Adventures and More

The excitement continued on land, with the team taking on other activities including zip-lining and puzzle rooms, not to mention the new Adventure Wood, which launched earlier this year to bring a whole new offering to the park.

From archery and axe throwing to low ropes and bushcraft, it’s the perfect blend of thrill and fun, ensuring a memorable day out for families, friends, and groups alike.

About North Yorkshire Water Park

Located just East of Wykeham, 6 miles west of Scarborough, North Yorkshire Water Park originally comprised four specialist fishing lakes and a larger lake (approximately 80 acres) dedicated to water sports. For many years, local water sports clubs and individuals have been sailing, windsurfing, model yacht racing, and open water swimming at the destination.

North Yorkshire Water Park was launched in July 2017 with an AquaPark. Thrill seekers now enjoy further activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, tandem kayaking, and more, as well as a range of other outdoor leisure facilities around the lake. 2021 saw the Dawnay Estate substantially expand the Water Park providing new attractions such as wakeboarding and the new 70-seat café building and events room.
