Graduation season is upon us, and there’s no better way to celebrate this milestone than with a complimentary Stuzzi Spritz at Stuzzi. From Tuesday, July 16th to Sunday, July 28th, Stuzzi is inviting all graduates to commemorate their achievements with a special treat.

Extended Hours and Special Treats
To honor graduates, Stuzzi on Merrion Street is extending their opening hours and adding an extra day exclusively for this celebration. Graduates dining at Stuzzi during this period will receive a complimentary Stuzzi Spritz, a refreshing drink made with house-made Strawberrycello, elderflower, soda, and mint. This gesture is a nod to the joyous and relaxing spritzes enjoyed by Stuzzi’s co-founders during their travels in Italy.
A Unique Dining Experience
Stuzzi offers a unique dining experience with its ‘family style’ service. The menu is designed for sharing, allowing guests to explore a variety of authentic Italian dishes that go beyond typical tourist fare. The culinary offerings are inspired by the team’s travels across Italy, featuring dishes like Radiatore, made with Stuzzi’s own Radiatore pasta, 12-hour braised beef shin, ‘Nduja, and a rich red wine and San Marzano ragu, finished with Grana Padano and Taleggio custard. Another highlight is the Stracciatella, imported from Naples and served with grilled cantaloupe, chicory, and a fermented melon, chili, and mint dressing, topped with Sicilian pistachio.
The Perfect Summer Drink
The Stuzzi Spritz is not just a drink; it’s a symbol of celebration and relaxation. Co-founder Jim Bob Phillips expresses his excitement, recalling the hazy memories of enjoying spritzes on sunny terraces in Italy. The Stuzzi Spritz has become a staple of their summer experiences, making it the perfect way to toast to new graduates.
Join the Celebration
Graduates are encouraged to book their tables in advance at www.stuzzi.co.uk for parties of up to six people. For larger groups, direct contact with the restaurant is recommended to make special arrangements. This celebration is not only about enjoying a free drink but also about experiencing the warmth and vibrancy of Italian culture right in the heart of Leeds.
About Stuzzi
Founded in 2014 by four English friends with a passion for Italy, Stuzzi aims to deliver an authentic taste of Italy. Jim Bob, Harvey, Tom, and Brett, who met while working at Salvo’s in Leeds, embarked on a ‘Grand Tour’ of Italy, immersing themselves in the local food culture and traditional cooking techniques. Their journey inspired the creation of Stuzzi, which opened its first venue in Harrogate in 2014, followed by Merrion Street in Leeds in 2019.
Stuzzi combines traditional Italian recipes with modern cooking techniques, creating a delightful mix of flavors. The restaurant sources carefully selected imported drinks, meats, and cheeses, alongside local produce from Yorkshire’s farms. Their sweets and baked goods are made in-house using imported Neapolitan flour and traditional methods passed down by Italian friends and colleagues.
Stuzzi Products
Stuzzi’s Italian obsession extends beyond the restaurant, with their own line of products. Their Stuzzi Gin Per Negroni, which blends Sicilian orange, Italian bergamot, and Yorkshire water, is perfect for home bartenders. Other products include N’duja ketchup, Napoli sauce, handmade pastas, and crocante snacks, available at artisan markets across Yorkshire and via their webshop.
Critical Acclaim
Stuzzi has garnered critical acclaim in the independent food and drink industry, attracting visits from top chefs like Nadiya Hussain. The restaurant has been listed in The Good Food Guide and the Hardens Guide, earning a loyal following across Yorkshire.
