Leeds is getting a whole lot more cool. The long awaited North Home concept store has opened its doors in the beautiful County Arcade of the Victoria Quarter. Whether you love Scandinavian design or just a good food hall, this four floor wonder has it all.
Here’s all the details—and why it’s already looking good.
Nordic Style has a new home
North Home has built a reputation on clean, Nordic design and now the Leeds store is the ultimate destination. Scandi-chic meets historic charm. The new store is packed with designer collections of furniture, ceramics, lighting and even skincare all under one roof.
Some of the brands you’ll find include:
- Fischersund (their unique fragrances and skincare)
- Lee Simmonds Ceramics (handmade, earthy pieces)
- Hkliving and HAY (for minimalist yet playful furniture)
- Seletti (because every home needs a bit of quirky design)
If you’re bored of the high street, this is your chance to bring a bit of Copenhagen into your kitchen or a touch of Stockholm to your living room.
Foodies, you’re sorted
And it’s not just your home that’s getting a makeover—your taste buds will thank you too. The North Home store has a food hall and basement bar so it’s more than just a shopping trip.
The basement bar keeps the original tiling of the building and is full of old-world charm with modern twists. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to linger after a day of shopping, whether for a coffee or a glass of wine.
Impressive
The store itself is a work of art. Yorkshire based interior designers Design Tonic were behind the design and they’ve got it spot on.
Amanda Cook, Design Tonic’s director, said:
“County Arcade is a amazing building with many original and unusual features so it was the perfect place for a beautiful store like North Home. It’s been a great project for Design Tonic and the team have created a space that’s minimalistic like Nordic design but warm, inviting and wow.”
Why this store matters
North Home founder Kamil is over the moon about the opening. He says:
“We have put all our love and passion for Nordic homewares and fine furnishings into this new store so we can’t wait to open the doors. We hope you love it as much as we do.”
And let’s be real, Leeds has great shopping but this store is on another level. From heritage features to modern design it’s a must see for anyone who loves beautiful spaces.
