The Slambarz x WaterBear Sheffield Scholarship Award will offer one exceptional Slambarz participant a three-year scholarship at WaterBear Sheffield, starting in September 2024.

A Partnership to Nurture Talent
Slambarz, a dynamic music events initiative, focuses on young lyricists, rappers, and music producers aged 14 to 25. Founded in 2017 by Dom Heslop and mentor Vicki Morris of The Hive, Slambarz engages young people through music creation and community projects, offering a supportive and inclusive platform to hone and showcase their talents. This new scholarship represents a significant milestone for Slambarz and its mission to elevate young artists.

Application Details and Deadlines
Slambarz artists over 18 as of September 2024 are invited to apply for the scholarship through an online application process. The deadline for applications is 31st May 2024. This scholarship provides an unparalleled chance for young musicians to receive top-tier education while pursuing their passion.

To further support grassroots music and young musicians, WaterBear recently hosted an electrifying evening featuring an open mic cypher with Slambarz and Audio Active, a Brighton-based non-profit youth music organisation, at the WaterBear Venue in Brighton.
