Bradford City AFC has confirmed that defender Ciarán Kelly will remain at the club for the upcoming season after signing a new one-year contract at the University of Bradford Stadium.
Kelly, who joined the Bantams from Irish side Bohemians in January 2023, has become a familiar figure in defence, making 70 appearances so far during his time at the club.

Standing at 6ft 3ins, the reliable centre-back featured 23 times last season across all competitions, including 21 league matches, playing an important role in helping Bradford City secure promotion to Sky Bet League One.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Kelly said:
“Sky Bet League One is a step up for the club and I am ready to help us attack it head on.
Getting the deal done allows me to knuckle down and hit pre-season and prepare for the campaign ahead.”
Manager Graham Alexander praised the defender’s commitment and consistency, adding:
“We are very happy to confirm Ciarán will be with us again this season, as we plan for the challenge ahead. He is a player that has never let us down, has always shown the right attitude and commitment, and we believe can step up to the new level, like several other players.”
Kelly will once again be sponsored by RMA Systems.
The club’s preparations for life in League One continue as fans look forward to an exciting new chapter at Valley Parade.
