Halifax ahead early but York turn it around
FC Halifax Town had the home fans in raptures when Jamie Cooke scored in the 14th minute. Managed by Chris Millington, Halifax looked good, Sam Johnson captaining the side and playing well in goal. For most of the game it looked like Halifax would hold on to their narrow lead but York had other plans.
York, managed by Adam Hinshelwood, wouldn’t back down and finally broke through in the 90th minute with a goal from Malachi Fagan Walcott. Just minutes later Ollie Pearce sealed the win in extra time to make it 2-1.
