Vitruvian Dental Studio, a highly regarded private dental practice, has expanded its operations at The Springs, Thorpe Park, Leeds.
Known for delivering high quality dental care, Vitruvian has secured a new 15-year lease for a 1,664 sq ft unit next to its current location. This move will help the practice further enhance its ability to serve the growing demand for its services.
Growing footprint at The Springs
Since its launch in 2021, Vitruvian Dental Studio has quickly established itself as a major provider of dental services in East Leeds. It now serves over 10,000 clients and runs five surgeries and a consulting room. With this latest expansion, Vitruvian plans to add three more surgeries, another consulting room, and an on-site laboratory, enabling it to offer faster and more efficient treatments like same-day smile transformations. Services such as teeth straightening, veneers, implants, and dentures will also be supported by the lab’s capabilities.
This growth is expected to generate 15 new support roles at The Springs, further enhancing the practice’s workforce, which includes expert dental consultants specialising in a wide range of dental services. The Springs’ modern and accessible location has played a crucial role in Vitruvian’s success, making it the perfect spot for this expansion.
Expanding to new locations
In addition to its expanded presence in Leeds, Vitruvian Dental Studio is broadening its reach by opening a new practice at The Glass Works in Barnsley. This second location will allow the dental studio to offer its services to a wider audience, meeting growing demand for its highly sought-after dental care. The Barnsley practice will provide the same comprehensive range of services that have made Vitruvian successful, including both cosmetic and general dentistry.
Co-founders Dr Katy Nolan and Dr James Nolan, both graduates of the University of Leeds, have carefully recruited a team of experts across all fields of dentistry. The Nolans are well-known in the field of cosmetic dentistry, and their dedication to patient care has been central to the practice’s growth.
A key player at The Springs
Commenting on the studio’s expansion, Dr James Nolan shared his enthusiasm for the opportunities at The Springs:
“We are delighted to announce our expansion at The Springs Leeds. In just three years, we’ve grown from a start-up business to serving over 10,000 clients, with an expanding wait list. The Springs has proved to be a fantastic location for us with its accessibility and highly contemporary environment that fits perfectly with our brand proposition.”
He also praised the support provided by the management team at The Springs, which has played a key role in Vitruvian’s successful growth:
“To be able to expand through premises just next door is a huge benefit and the management team has been exceptionally supportive throughout our journey.”
Rachel Vickers, Senior Commercial Manager at Scarborough Group International (SGI), which oversees The Springs and Thorpe Park Leeds, also welcomed Vitruvian’s expansion, noting its contribution to the local community:
“Through reputation, the practice has achieved a major milestone with over 10,000 patients. This is a great example of how a well-placed and inviting environment with plentiful shops and attractions can support independent businesses with great vision.”
The importance of The Springs as a business hub
The Springs is part of the larger Thorpe Park Leeds development, a 350,000 sq ft shopping and leisure destination strategically located at Junction 46 of the M1. It has rapidly become a key location for both retail and professional services, attracting high street brands like Next, Boots, M&S, TK Maxx, and Nando’s. Additionally, the site features the UK’s first ODEON Luxe cinema, as well as a concept store from The Range.
The vibrant environment and easy accessibility of The Springs have made it an attractive base for businesses like Vitruvian Dental Studio. The presence of major employers at Thorpe Park Leeds, which already supports over 7,500 jobs, has boosted foot traffic and provided significant customer opportunities for businesses operating there.
Supporting development in East Leeds
Thorpe Park Leeds is not only a retail and business hub but also a key driver of infrastructure development in East Leeds. Enabled by a £162 million investment from Legal & General Capital in 2015, the ongoing development at Thorpe Park has added 1.35 million sq ft of Grade A office space, creating countless business opportunities in the Leeds City Region.
The development also facilitated the construction of the first section of the East Leeds Orbital Route (ELOR), which connects the area to Junction 46 of the M1. This route has unlocked land for future housing developments, with plans for over 7,000 new homes.
Thorpe Park Leeds is set to further benefit from a £270 million infrastructure investment, which includes the creation of East Leeds Parkway, a new railway station that will connect the area directly to Leeds City Centre in less than eight minutes. This significant project is expected to increase accessibility and drive further growth in the region.
A strong future ahead
Vitruvian Dental Studio’s expansion at The Springs and new location at Barnsley mark an exciting chapter in the company’s growth. With a solid reputation for providing high-quality dental services and a dedicated team of experts, Vitruvian is well-positioned to continue serving its growing client base.
As Thorpe Park Leeds continues to develop, businesses like Vitruvian benefit from the increased foot traffic and dynamic retail and leisure environment. The expansion underscores the importance of strategic location and modern facilities in supporting independent businesses and meeting customer demand for top-tier services.
