Leeds city centre is set to be transformed into a magical, interactive playground inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, with seven immersive installations running from 26 July to 31 August 2025.
Brought to life by LeedsBID and Cuddle Creative Works, Wonderland Awaits invites families and visitors of all ages to follow a trail through the city, solving riddles, meeting eccentric characters, and exploring fantastical settings brought to life with theatrical performances, art installations, and even a few celebrity voices.

Highlights include:
- A rabbit hole at Leeds Corn Exchange
- A Mad Hatter’s tea party at Victoria Gate
- A cinematic Jabberwocky experience at Royal Armouries
- Croquet with the Queen of Hearts at Aire Park
- Voice performances by Marcus Brigstocke (Caterpillar) and Tom Read Wilson (Cheshire Cat)
There will also be craft workshops, surprise pop-up performances, classic film screenings, and prizes for those who complete the trail.
It’s all free to enjoy, and promises to be one of the city’s biggest summer events – following on from last year’s MONOPOLY Leeds Takeover, which saw record-breaking footfall.
Wonderland Awaits will run daily from 26 July to 31 August across key locations including Trinity Leeds, Victoria Quarter, Merrion Centre, Aire Park and more.
