Pop sensation JLS brought the house down at the grand finale of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s Wild Live concert series, thrilling a sold-out crowd. The band’s high-energy performance closed out a record-breaking summer of music and wildlife experiences at the award-winning Yorkshire venue.

A spectacular finale to a record-breaking season

The summer concert series at Yorkshire Wildlife Park reached its crescendo on Saturday night, as JLS delivered a memorable show to thousands of fans. This event was the last in the 2024 Wild Live concert line-up, which also featured stunning performances by Ella Henderson and Jessie J earlier in the season.

John Minion, CEO of Yorkshire Wildlife Park, reflected on the season’s success, stating,

“It has been an extraordinary summer for us. We experienced the busiest bank holiday weekend ever, and this year’s Wild Live concerts had the highest attendances in the event’s history.”

A day of wildlife and music

Minion added,

“Visitors enjoyed a unique opportunity to come close to some of the world’s most extraordinary and endangered animals before experiencing the live music in the evening. JLS was the perfect finale, giving a performance that will be talked about for years.”

This blend of entertainment and conservation has been a major draw for the park, where visitors can see rare species such as Amur Tigers, Black Rhinos, and Polar Bears during the day before unwinding with live music in the evening.

Summer of standout performances

The Wild Live concert series kicked off in spectacular fashion on 24th August with Ella Henderson, supported by special guest Sigala. The following night, Jessie J wowed the crowd with her Grammy Award-winning talent, closing out the bank holiday weekend.

Fans were able to enjoy an incredible fusion of wildlife exploration and live performances at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, a venue known for offering an unrivalled walk-through experience with endangered species. Visitors can come face to face with majestic creatures such as Giraffes, Leopards, and the world’s largest land carnivore, the Polar Bear.

Conservation efforts on show

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is not just a place for music and fun; it also plays a crucial role in conservation. The park is home to several species that are part of global conservation initiatives, offering an educational experience alongside entertainment. Visitors are given the chance to learn more about the park’s ongoing efforts to protect some of the planet’s most vulnerable animals.

As this year’s Wild Live series came to a close, it’s clear that the combination of live performances from global stars and close encounters with wildlife made the 2024 season a resounding success.
