Overlooked the fact the pub is closed Mondays but the lovely hosts served me anyway. What’s more, they brought two cold pints to my camping pitch!! Amazing!! Very lovely campsite with friendly people who offered to charge my phone. Hot, clean, showers with loads of room to change comfortably in.
Barely got through the door and was told that no dogs allowed while serving food in quite an aggressive manner. I fully appreciate that they don’t want dogs around food. It was the rudeness in which he said it. Perhaps a hospitality course? It’s a shame because we always support local and are in the service business ourselves.
Very tasty food and really friendly staff. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the fire was very welcome to warm us up after a cold afternoon!

Really very disappointment this was supposed to be a Christmas treat. £48 was charged for a very small red wine even though I asked for a medium wine. The tiniest piece of smoked salmon tasted like the one I buy from a supermarket. about 25 pence worth and cost which tasted very mediocre. Very unhappy at this choice of restaurant. Very poor value. Gratitude was added without permission.
