Barkers

Hadn’t clothes shopped here in awhile as was not thrilled with choices around Covid time….but much improved!!! I could easily have shopped more. I always get good makeup products and superb help on ground floor. This time I needed a swim suit (out of season)…very good selection and lovely changing rooms in lingerie… and each clothing section had nice choices!!!!

As a visitor to Northallerton I was really impressed by Barkers; a real jewel on the High Street. First of all, it’s enormous! I actually got lost on the first floor and did a couple of circuits before I found the staircase😹 It really does have something for everyone with so many well known brands, particularly in the womenswear section. I used the loos (very well appointed) then went for coffee and cake in one of the eating areas. I chose a prepackaged gluten free item but the scones and everything else looked amazing! I loved the little train running around a track high up in one of the seating areas; another customer told me that the scenery is changed according to the season. It was good to see lots of staff on the shop floor to assist; I found them cheerful and helpful. There are a lot of stores in Northallerton but if you are looking for quality items this would seem to be the ideal destination. I’ll definitely be visiting Barkers again when we come back to Northallerton. Highly recommended!

Had the most amazing bottomless brunch booked for my friends birthday 5 of us from 3 till 430pm, the young gentleman who's name I can't remember promised us good things and he didn't disappoint, the Food we had was fabulous he did say there would be a lot, copious amounts and lovely drinks to go with cocktails/pressoc much much mote. Thank you we will be back x So ladies give this bottomless brunch a try you want regrett it. Xxxxx

Lovely old fashioned department store in the heart of Northallerton. All the departments seem to be on different levels . Prices were not too bad and generally in line with other shops. Good sized car park at the rear offering long and short stay . Two places to eat a restaurant upstairs ( above arcade ) and a smaller coffee shop on ground level.

Flagship store with very good quality products and very helpful staff. I was struggling to find a new pair of jeans when along came 'Sue' who identified all brands, types and sizes for me and I ended up buying two pairs! That's good product knowledge and service indeed!
