Yorkshire Trading Company (Northallerton)

When I went up to the tills to pay, I realised that I'd lost my debit card. The lovely lady, called Jane, who was serving me, realised that I was distressed and panicked. She immediately comforted, helped and reassured me. I went back to the shop where I had last been and, fortunately, they had found it. I went back into Yorkshire Trading to thank Jane. She offered to walk me across the road back to my car. She made sure that I was ok before I left the store. What a wonderful lady she is. She deserves a pay rise, at the very least. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️.

Wow - very rude staff - especially the older woman with scraped back hair on the back till. She jumped in on a conversation I was having with my mother where I expressed disatisfaction with the store (not even discussing the staff) - saying that we had 'attacked' them(!) She then argued until she had the last word. Never seen anything like it! It seems like she is not very intelligent to behave in such an aggressive way, or perhaps she has problems in her life but, whatever, it was incredibly rude and nasty. We left the store feeling quite upset and won't be going in there again.

At around midday today 20th September I visited the Northallerton branch I asked a member of staff on the floor what the price was of some weed killer spray which was not priced up. Haughtily he said that they were too busy to help and I would have to check at the till. He then walked to the till because there was a large queue waiting. There was nobody at this till so I asked him to please price up the item then. Haughtily, yet again, he said to go back to the end of the queue and wait for a price. I could not believe his attitude for such a simple request. Employing him is doing the company no favours at all, I am afraid. All I wanted was the price of some weed killer!

Good selection of products at a good price. Staff are exceptionally rude however - not a please or thank you to be had, arguing with customers and just a general air of discourtesy. Need to sharpen up their attitude.

Great bargains for everyday items and then some nice surprises e g. Luxury Zoon brand catbeds selling for £7.99 instead of £35-40! Told everyone I knew of the wonderful top quality bargain! Staff always very helpful and courteous. A pleasure to interact with. They consistently go out of their busy way to help make your time and shop a productive and nice experience. Nothing is too small or big to extend their customer skills for you. A true gem of a store and staff for Northallerton!
