Graves Park

Sheffield's biggest park located in the south west of the city. The park boasts lots of facilties for visitors including a cafe, 2 children's paygrounds, animal farm, sporting facilities, nature trails, fishing lake, woodland and plenty of open space.

Cannon Hall Farm

Cannon Hall Farm is a large, family run, farm attraction. Sitting in the rolling Pennine foothills, it’s home to hundreds of animals, waiting to welcome you to a world of animal magic. The farm features one of the biggest and best equipped playgrounds in the north of England and the largest tube maze in Europe.

Doncaster racecourse

Racedays at Town Moor have been drawing appreciative crowds for centuries and Doncaster has long been regarded as one of the finest racecourses in Europe and the best place for horse racing in Yorkshire.

Wigfield Farm

Visit a wide range of animals including meerkats, cows, goats, Shetland ponies, donkeys, alpacas, pigs, sheep, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits and much more. There is also a rodent room and an aquatics room featuring many different varieties of fish and other aquatic life.

Tropical Butterfly House

Explore the exotic indoor rainforest environment of our Tropical House. Home to creatures from around the world including minibeasts, butterflies, birds, bats, creepy-crawlies and caimans.

Underground Sheaf Tours

The tours are led by experienced caving guides from YHA Edale Activity Centre, who, with the assistance of Trust volunteers, will teach you about the history, biodiversity and future of these mysterious and sometimes unintentionally beautiful places.

Sheffield Round Walk

A 15-mile loop from the urban to the rural at the southwestern edges of the city – taking in leafy parkland, woodland streams, and pretty suburbs. The walk connects central Sheffield with its surrounding countryside, showcasing the natural beauty, greenery and wildlife that the city is lucky to have within its boundaries.

Trans Pennine Trail

The Trans Pennine Trail (TPT) is an exciting route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders linking the North and Irish seas, passing through each area of South Yorkshire, alongside rivers and canals and through historic towns and cities.

Penistone Agricultural Show

A show of discovery! The Penistone Agricultural Show is a great day out for everybody. Open for the whole family from early morning through to dusk.

Ecclesall Woods

Ecclesall Woods is an area of woodland in south-west Sheffield between Abbeydale Road South and Ecclesall. It covers approximately 350 acres (1.4 km2) of mature semi-natural deciduous woodland.

Indoor Climbing

Sheffield never leaves its climbing community yearning for an ascent or a bouldering problem, even on the most miserable of days. Many have special kids areas and cafes, making them perfect for all the family.
