Located in the heart of Settle, Ye Olde Naked Man Café is a unique bakery and cafe dating back to 1663 with original breads and cakes with sandwich shop and cafe selling own produce.
Food is one of the biggest passions here at The Lion at Settle. The menus are created to showcase the best local in season produce, sourced from trusted suppliers throughout Settle and the surrounding area. They believe that with great quality ingredients you don't have to try too hard, which is why our dishes are simple, but beautifully executed by the Chef, John Wild. Once you've eaten to your heart's content, you can flop on to the comfiest of beds in one of The Lion's excellent 14 rooms.
Little House Restaurant inspiration for the food here comes from all over Europe and under the supervision of two professionally trained chefs the monthly menu and chalkboard take advantage of seasonal foods. The chefs use the finest produce available, including Lune Valley lamb, Scotch accredited beef, best quality fresh fish & local fruit & vegetables. On top of this, new and old world wines, continental beers & liqueurs are available to complement your meal.
The Pen-y-ghent Cafe, in nearby Horton-in-Ribblesdale, has been the starting point of the the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Walk for many people over the years. The café operates a clock-in/out system to time, and aid the safety of walkers. A clock card machine records the start and end time of walkers. Those completing within a 12 hour period are invited to join the Café's 'Three Peaks of Yorkshire Club'.
