We came at Christmas full of christ,as cheer, The room was lovely but this was all oiled when on Christmas day morning the macerator stopped working causing a blocked toilet. On reporting to reception they felt it perfectly fine to present me with a toilet brush and invite me to clear the blockage. This was not acceptable at any time but especially on Christmas day. The receptionist never left her seat to come and see or offer assistance. We ended up moving rooms later that night after family celebrations, and again were not assisted in any way by the receptionist. We were also positioned a considerable distance from the reception and entrance on our room exchange. This is not the standard of care I look for. In future we may have to look elsewhere.

I had a fantastic stay at Premier Inn Pontefract. The breakfast was excellent, with options that suited my dietary needs perfectly. Receptionist Sue deserves special recognition , she’s an absolute credit to the hotel. Friendly, supportive, and wonderfully kind, she really made my stay feel extra welcoming. My room was spacious, comfortable, and came with a bath tub, which was just what I needed as I was on a running journey. The restaurant and bar staff were also brilliant – friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Booked in for a 2 day stay including the breakfast. The room was decent, bed was comfortable enough and clean. The breakfast was also decent. There is no lift so be aware of that incase of disabilities and so on, the corridors are very narrow, was difficult for me to push my double pram, also there are many doors in the corridors so you have to keep pushing and holding them open if you have a pram. The train station wasn’t too far so that’s a plus! And there is plenty of parking

Stayed here for 4 nights, there's not much close by other than a Brewers Fayre which I didn't try, also didn't use the bar/restaurant in the Premier Inn but Knottingley is a 15minute walk where there's various takeaways, bars and shops. Stayed in November so no issues with the room being too hot which many reviews mention. Wi-Fi was ridiculously slow at times so ended up tethering although the room had very poor mobile signal but that's not really their fault. Ultimate Wi-Fi is available but it wasn't worth paying the £5 for 24 hours as I'd barely use it. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and the hotel staff were very friendly. Stayed in many Premier Inns and this one is much like the rest.

Had a couple stays recently driving from Scotland to Kent and back. Staff are excellent, restaurant on site is pretty good too. Baby is also happy there which is a great bonus!
