I received a great welcome even when I arrived early. Luckily my room was available too. I booked a single room for 2 nights and was given a double on arrival. The room was very clean and equipped with a hairdryer and tea/coffee etc. The shower was a walk in and was more than ample space. There was a great selection of breakfast items and I had evening meals which were both excellent.
Only stayed the one night but no complaints at all. Warmly greeted, even after arriving a couple of hours early as we’d planned to park up without actually checking in. This was no problem, parked directly outside with the £10 refundable permit, and our room was ready so even better! Very clean and comfortable, good shower, nice sea view too. Lovely breakfast in the morning after a good night’s sleep, and another warm thank you and goodbye on leaving. Will certainly look to stay again if in the area!
I've stayed at the Claxton several times in the last couple of years & can definitely recommend it. The rooms are always spotless, the staff are friendly & helpful & the breakfast enormous (if you can eat it all). Very dog friendly hotel & a great location opposite a huge sandy beach.
Lovely hotel. Tastefully decorated. Staff amazing always have time to chat and answer your questions can't do enough for you. Full English breakfast...sets you up for the day..very tasty and well presented. Evening meal...shepherds pie with separate dish of veg. I got side of chips too ...you have to have the chips here best I ever had the triple cooked type. Have been quite a few times and will continue my stays here 5 stars from me and my partner ...the dog said thanks for her breakfast sausage too !
Myself and my little boy had a wonderful mid-week stay in this lovely hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly (happy to chat at length to an excited 7-year old!); the room spacious, modern and clean; and the breakfast delicious. The location is perfect for the beach and local amenities (restaurants, arcades, playground) and the hotel even has its own parking with an EV charge point. I'm definitely recommending this hotel to others.
