Imaginative Icing - Cakes

I’m only giving one star because I can’t give any less. I recently visited Scarborough and contacted a few local cake makers to surprise my partner with a cake. Anthony was the only one able to do it- he didn’t say he could fit me in or there would be any issue making what I wanted. We had a contract to supply a lemon cake which was delivered to our hotel at a cost of £83 to a specific design. The cake arrived and looked as I had ordered however on cutting the cake, it was obvious it was a plain vanilla cake and not lemon. This was also apparent on eating too. It was bland and tasteless and not what I had ordered. I contacted Anthony and he said he would phone me to discuss. The phone call never came straight away- and he eventually phoned a week later while I was at work and couldn’t pick up. I had requested a partial refund however the best he offered was 20% off my next order which I declined as I was not in the area and wasn’t likely to order again when he couldn’t get this order correct. The cake is still sat here uneaten and I am now in the process of taking the matter further. Save your money and go elsewhere. Very poor customer service.

Just over 2 years I asked for wedding cake I SAID I Wanted WHITE CAKE WITH RED Roses on but it came back all red and went back for other lay but she said no as you only give bit of cake out in wich we did as any one but was not eough that why went back beause we more people coming to the wedding So was all red wedding cake was horrible who as red wedding cake it was mu wedding day Not is wedding day but Anthony is too busy go to music gigs in soctland and for what he doing Do trust him with your wedding cake never said sorry for doing wrong I am disgusting with him

I ordered a custom cake to look like a pork pie for my partner's birthday and it was amazing! It looked so realistic, people were unsure what to expect when I cut into it. As for the cake itself, it was delicious, probably the best carrot cake i've ever had. Anthony (Imaginative Icing) was incredibly friendly, informative and fast to respond when I enquired about a quote for this cake. Highly recommend Imaginative Icing. Thank you

I had my 21st birthday cake off Anthony. It is really moist and fresh. He followed what I wanted (a look alike of Dan from Bastille that is life size). Really impressed.

Excellent Customer Service, Anthony went out of his way to ensure that the cake design was what I wanted. The final cake was amazing and was very much admired. Would definitely recommend.
