The Thoresby Guest House Scarborough

Had a brilliant week, and a lovely stay here, very helpful staff, Tim and Deania were so helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Me and my Fiancé stayed at this hotel as a last minute guests for 3 days as we had issues with our previous hotel. The value for money in which we paid was amazingly good. We were meant to stay on the 3rd floor but due to it being cold Deania (manager of the hotel) moved us to the first floor as it would be warmer, there was an amazing sea view to look out onto. Whenever me and my Fiancé had any issues or questions Deania was always very responsive and attentive, she was very friendly and explained things very well. The room was a good size and there was a little amount of noise from next door but it was easily sorted out. Due to the room being cold there was a heater which we could plug in which was very handy. Anything extra that we needed we were told where it was or we could ask for things if needed. The location was lovely and there was things on your doorstep such as a pub across the road and a shop next to that if we needed anything. The interior was very modern and there was some lovely pictures on the walls which fitted in well with the surroundings. I would definitely stay again and can’t wait to see what happens with the hotel in the future as it has so much potential. We were very happy with our stay and even left a nice tip for the manager to thank her for all her efforts.

We enjoyed it a lot, the location was perfect, quiet area, with a lovely view of North Bay, the room was clean, we had a few issues with the kettle provided but nothing too serious. The bed was massive and comfy, the staff was really friendly and informative. Location of the guest house was about 15 mins walk to South Bay, but it was close to bus stops as well. Recommended 👌

Very basic room. Was greeted on arrival after that no one about. Room not serviced during stay of two nights.

Location is spot on for North and South bay. Room was spotlessly clean. Bed very comfy. Toiletries included. Tea and coffee making facilities. The Manager was lovely, took our bags to our rooms for us. Looked after them before check in and after check out til we went for our train. The price was very good. I can't praise the place or the Manager enough. We are booking again for same time next year. I absolutely recommend this place 100%. Thank you so much for making our stay perfect. X
