despite the misty weather, the place looked amazing as can be seen in some of photos I took. It's relatively peaceful, despite being located so close to Scarborough. Lots of fishing taking place around the lake

I visited one Sunday morning. Although the lake was nice and full of animals (swans and the lot), it looked very unkept and not very attractive. I wouldn't recommend this as a great country park, as I've seen many through my years and this one seems very neglected.

Free parking, cafe with children's activities, wildlife (swans & geese especially), footpaths by the crystal clear water (with angling licenses available), all makes this a delightful spot.

Nice and quiet walk. Mind the geese and swans though.
