Women’s Services Memorial Day at The Yorkshire Air Museum

Today, women take on front line duties across all branches of the military, but it was not always this way. Our Women’s Services Day commemorates the contribution and sacrifice made by women across more than a century of conflict. Commencing around 1;30pm, the Parade will set off to march through the centre of the Museum to our unique and inspiring Women’s Memorial Garden, where a Wreath Laying Ceremony will take place. We hope you will join us in celebrating the modern inclusivity and diversity of our armed forces and commemorate 100 years of the official recognition of the role played by women in our armed services.
