One of the oldest Norman stone fortresses in Britain, Richmond Castle stands in a stunning location above the River Swale and boasts a rich and fascinating history.
Founded by the Normans in 1071, Richmond is a vibrant market town. The Information Centre is in the town’s library, a few minutes’ walk from the vast cobbled market place.
Richmond Swimming Pool is open seven days a week and serves the local and wider community with a range of different activities to suit everyone. We have two pools available to swimmers, one of which is perfect for general swimming and the other great for those learning to swim.

From this sports centre in North Yorkshire community members can participate in activities and sports such as gymnastics, cheerleading, rugby and football as well as the 40 station gym.
