Micklegate House

My son booked a room for 2 nights. When he got there he couldnt get in. No confirmation email. No answer when he rang the number. When he eventually got through on the phone it was an answer phone, he left a msg but got no response. He had to book in somewhere else. Tried to cancel but the money had already gone. Avoid at all cost. Only put one star or it wouldnt let me post

Had small single room with private bathroom in loft area (room 5) top floor,basic , stair access only , creaky stairs , a bit noisy at 6.30 am as by busy road , difficult to open close window as blind in the way was ok overall

Stayed here for 6 weeks i needed to be in Selby. The room was very well decorated very comfortable bed and Bathroom was nice with shower lovely furniture and modern feel. Lauren runs this place she is very professional kind considerate and freindly she helped me book longer than i booked so absolutely appreciated i would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Selby and the prices are very reasonable right in the town centre its perfect for all your needs

Noisy residents live their.. Music all night long.. People walking around all night shouting swearing.. If you were a lady it would be threatening…. Don't stay there if you need a rest. I had 3 hours sleep…

Wasn't impressed the room stunk of urine, and if it wasn't for a resident telling us that we had to pick key up from a pub we got no email to specify this ?
