Never even heard of a fish cake but saw a review on here so had to order one and find out what it is! What an absolute treat. Especially with mushy peas! We will be back 😊
Straight up 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.. Never been here before, didn't know the area, or have a scooby doo whether I'd entered a little town or something from Shaun of the dead with all the freaky plant pots in the area.. Well finding this chippy was excellent value for money. Never heard of a Yorkshire fish cake and the staff made two fresh for me and my friend (who's from here but didn't know what one was), Staff were friendly warm and welcoming and had a great laugh with banter. The prices were fair and about right. Chip portion size was a little on the small size in comparison to other areas been to, but that isn't a bad thing as the Yorkshire fish cake made up the rest of the filling.. If your an outsider like myself, best time to go is after 5pm. That way you don't need to figure out the odd worded parking restriction of DISC ZONE.. What is a disc zone??? Overall great staff, great food, great value for money 💰 and clean and tidy...
Avoid at all costs! Fish quality is poor, dripping with oil - to top it all off, the service was as if ‘I don’t care’ :-( I don’t mind sitting outside on public benches had it been quality food. Their food and hygiene rating is somehow 5 - but that’s the only good thing about this place.
