Irene was a great host, with just the right amount of interaction and personal space for me. My room was beautiful and very comfortable and the property was within an easy walk of my daily destination. Irene was kind in helping me with my cases and showing me how to access the property from different directions and especially with the car. The property was clean and I loved the decor. I would definitely stay there in the future when visiting the area.
The location is perfect for a visit to Saltaire. It takes 15 minutes to walk along the canal to Salts Mill and is such a nice walk . Lots of dog walkers , geese and swans . My room was very private , cosy and clean . Irene is lovely and respectful of your privacy but there for a chat if you fancy. I hadn’t stayed with a host before but it was genuinely a great experience. As a single lady that means a lot . I would stay again .
The biggest attraction has to be the very welcoming host herself who has travelled far and wide. She is happy to chat if you want to, but never intrusive. Irene is possibly the kindest and most helpful person I've ever met.
I found this delightful address through a friend. This is handy and pleasant for working in town or as a base to explore. Parking is possible but not saved, everything else is great. Clean, tidy, enough room for all , decent rooms and good facilities. The kitchen is modern and easy to cook in and there is a river one minute from.the house. There is also a very popular park with lots of nice walks. The price is an absolute bargain.
I am a Canadian student, and decided to stay in Saltaire for a month as I had an internship near the area. Irene was an incredible host. As she knew I would be far from home, she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and welcomed into the lovely town of Saltaire. The house is beside a beautiful walking trail along the River Aire , Irene made sure to personally show me all hidden gems near by. I got the loft bedroom and enjoyed the skylight window looking out on the town and peaking into the river, this added some extra peace and relaxation to my stay. Going on sunset walks was my favourite evening activity and there are plenty of cute cafes and restaurants near by! Although Irene was not planning on being around for my final days in Saltaire, she made sure she was there to say goodbye to me on the last day, she said " I did not want you to leave without anyone to say goodbye to". I really enjoyed my stay in Saltaire and would highly reccomend for a relaxing getaway!
