Mike & The Mechanics is a British rock band formed in 1985 by Mike Rutherford, the guitarist and bassist of Genesis. Their hit song “Hot Ticket” was released in 1991 and became a fan favorite. Interestingly, Mike Rutherford was born in Guildford, Surrey, but has a connection to Yorkshire as his father was from Leeds.
