Octagon

The octagon is a geometric shape with eight sides and angles. It is often used in architecture and design, as well as in sports such as boxing and MMA where the ring is typically an octagon shape. In Yorkshire, the octagon is a common feature in many historic buildings, such as the octagonal tower of York Minster and the octagonal lantern of Castle Howard.
