Church Farm is home to three stylish and comfortable self-catering cottages in the Yorkshire Wolds. We are situated along a quiet lane close to the historic Norman church of St Michael & All Angels in the village of Garton on the Wolds near Driffield.
Foldyard Cottage, The Plovery and The Granary have each been transformed from original farm buildings set within an 18th century East Riding farmstead. The cottages have all been awarded a 4 Star Gold VisitEngland rating.
When planning a visit to Yorkshire, the destination choice is often the Dales or the North York Moors. The Yorkshire Wolds however are a lesser known area, a little off the beaten track with gentle rolling landscape, hidden valleys, picturesque villages and historic market towns. The colourful landscape rich in wildlife changes with each season. The area is also full of contrast as within a few miles you will discover sandy beaches and rugged cliffs along the coastline, not to mention Britain’s largest mainland seabird colony where you will be sure to spot a puffin or two during the season.
For a more active holiday, the Yorkshire Wolds provide ideal terrain for walking, cycling and riding. Church Farm is within a few miles of the mid way point of the 79 mile Wolds Way, one of the lesser known national trails where you may not meet another soul for miles. For keen cyclists, the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route and Way of the Roses coast to coast route takes you within a couple of miles of our cottages if you wish to explore the Wolds at a more leisurely pace for a day or two.
There is so much more to discover in the Yorkshire Wolds and the chances are you will wish to return as so many of our guests do. But of course Church Farm is also the perfect place to simply relax!
We look forward to welcoming you.
