Built in the 1880's, this elegant, understated Victorian town house was formerly the home of a wool trader and retains many of its original features today.
This beautiful home has been welcoming guests for over thirty years and'as a 4 Star Guest House we are proud of what we at the Alamah can offer you. We have eight fully ensuite rooms, all with showers, are virtually opposite Harrogate International Centre and are a short stroll into the town of Harrogate itself.
Whether you are coming to Harrogate for business or pleasure, the Alamah is ideally situated as a base for your stay, as is confirmed by the number of returning guests, who comment favourably on the continual upgrading of our guest accommodation.
We have a variety of accommodation available, including single rooms, double rooms, twin rooms and a family room, all with generously filled hospitality trays, digital tv with Freeview, hairdryer, radio alarm with ipod dock, free internet access and complimentary toiletries. The Alamah also offers free parking to our guests.
Start your day with a freshly prepared hearty breakfast. Eat as much or as little as you like. You have a choice of muesli, cereals, fruit, yoghourt and fresh orange juice, followed by a traditional grilled full English breakfast served with locally produced Masham sausages, large free range eggs, cooked to your choice of scrambled, poached, fried egg, toast and tea or coffee. We are happy to cater for any special dietary need, but please let us know in advance.
Harrogate offers a unique shopping experience, combining well known high street stores with independent retailers, offering unusual ideas for gifts, clothing and shoes. The Montpellier Quarter is traditionally known for its antique shops —good for browsing. We have our own Theatre, Turkish Baths and the Valley Gardens.
International cuisine is in abundance in Harrogate, combining restaurant chains with family run individual restaurants to tempt you, with their specialities.
Whether travelling to us by train, bus, car or plane there is a good public transport network available to you.
