The resident family's converted farmhouse and cottages nestle at the side of a hill on an unclassified country road in the beautiful Nidderdale countryside on the edge of the spectacular Yorkshire Dales. All lodges and cottages face south overlooking wonderful views. They are all well-equipped and in a superb location surrounded by mature woodland, within several miles of many attractions such as Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle.
As our location is only a few hundred yards away from part of the Tour de Yorkshire route 2016 and 2017 and only a few miles away from some of the Tour de France stages of 2014, we have recently added cycle storage and washing facilities for up to 10 bikes giving you the option of following part of the routes using your own bike or hiring one locally, should you want a more active holiday.
The Byre Cottage is on the ground floor of our converted farmhouse comprising of a double bedroom and an open plan sitting room with additional sleeping. There is an integral kitchen/dining area. The bathroom and landing are at the top of a small flight of stairs.
Our two Scandinavian style lodges are individually designed and fully equipped lodges. They can sleep anywhere from 1-10 people as they can be opened up together using adjoining internal doors and then used as one larger home, making them ideal for couples, families or larger groups who are looking for the peace and tranquillity of the woodland surroundings together with every modern comfort.
Each lodge has its own car parking at the rear and are on one level with wheelchair access, permitting those with walking difficulties to enjoy the birds and wildlife from the comfort of their home.
All accommodation is available for short breaks as well as a longer stay. See website for the breakdown of prices.
