Our boutique guest rooms are in the former mews building adjacent to The Vicarage itself which we finished converting in 2018. OAK, ASH and YEW have their own separate entrances and designated parking right outside in the courtyard. Access is very easy with just one step up from the courtyard. Once inside you will also find a walk-in shower which is large enough to accommodate a seat if necessary.
The king-sized beds are made up with beautiful linens setting off the sumptuous colour palette which is different in each room. We painstakingly designed everything from scratch incorporating elements, furnishings and ideas from our travels around the world. We have had a lot of compliments about the quality of our beds and how well you can sleep. The church clock does chime – but not through the night!
The ensuite shower rooms incorporate those little details that make all the difference: make-up/shaving mirror, sensor night light and not forgetting lashings of hot water pouring from a rainforest shower head.
OAK is based on teal and mustard tones. It has the bonus of its own exclusive outdoor area with seating and barbecue. Ideal for al fresco breakfasts, sundowners or a summer BBQ.
ASH is vibrant purple, set off with silken embroidered fabrics. It is the largest of the rooms and looks out onto the paddock and the church.
YEW is a variety of velvety jewel tones. It is just slightly smaller, yet has all the same facilities and quality. Ideal for watching wildlife in the paddock.
Breakfast is an extensive continental selection in your room. You can have it at any time you choose from your in-room pantry. We try to cater for all preferences and you can book vegetarian or vegan options if you contact us directly. If you want or need to, of course you can have breakfast as early as you wish. Treat yourself to a leisurely bathrobe breakfast. Indeed you can pre-book late check-out or early check-in.
Your room is not short on technology with unlimited fast WiFi, USB charging ports and Samsung smart TV with numerous streaming options including free Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
The Vicarage B&B nestles below the church in the hamlet of Nidd just to the north of Harrogate. You can explore the extensive grounds of Nidd Hall on our doorstep, Ripley Castle, the beautiful historic town of Knaresborough, Ripon or indeed further afield. It’s ideal for a quiet getaway, walking, cycling, weekend get-togethers with friends or something different to a hotels in town. Described in many of our reviews as a hidden gem.
