Daisy Bank Camp is a rural retreat of 6 cabins in the hills above Hebden Bridge . Our aim is to create a haven of peace nestled into the hillside, a place to stay where you can re-connect with nature and each other, in an area where birds & wildlife abound, with walking and biking on your doorstep. Its set within a permaculture smallholding with rare breed sheep, above the fabulous Hebden Bridge, in the Calder Valley. The area is full of characterful towns & villages, stunning views, world famous walks, bike trails for all abilities and wonderful wildlife. It's been a long-held dream of ours to create a space for people to come and immerse themselves in all that Calder Valley and the South Pennines has to offer. For the bike enthusiasts brought into our area by the Tour de France & Yorkshire, there are numerous bike trails, Sustrans National Route 68 is on our doorstep, there’s a bike wash and racks for when you get back. The Pennines is rightly famous for its wonderful walks, including the Calderdale & Pennine Ways which are within a mile or so of Daisy Bank Camp, as is the Mary Townley Loop. There’s also a regular bus service 15 minutes’ walk away, and within a 10 minutes’ drive you’ll find Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall, made famous by residents Ted Hughes & Sylvia Plath, or Todmorden where the Incredible Edible movement began. 30 minutes drive brings you to Howarth, home of the Brontës, and just 10 miles away you’ll find Shibden Hall, home of Anne Lister, the famous Gentleman Jack. And if that’s not enough to keep you occupied, Leeds or Manchester are only 40 minutes away on the train!
We have 6 self contained cabins for you here at Daisy Bank Camp, and two types of accommodation: the Stable Cabins for 2 people, and the Honeycomb Cabins, which sleep 4. They have been built to the highest standards, with superior insulation making them the perfect location for all year-round get-aways.
The Honeycomb Cabins are detached, wooden clad hexagons, and filled with features to create your comfortable haven: double bed and double sofa bed, underfloor heating, a micro kitchen equipped with induction hob, fridge and full oven and a shower room with sink and toilet. 2 huge bi-fold glass doors take you outside where you’ll find a private seating area from which to enjoy the peace.
The Stable Cabins are a terrace of 3 hardwood clad cabins converted from an old stable block, with uninterrupted views to the east to catch all the sunrises, and open to the eaves with a huge half glazed stable door. They are also self contained and designed to create the ultimate private den: double sofa bed, stowaway table and chairs, underfloor heating, a micro kitchen equipped with induction hob, fridge and combi microwave oven, plus a wet room & toilet. Outside, you’ll find and a private terraced garden.
