Old Low Moor Farm is located in “Herriot” countryside just outside the village of Knayton, but is still only 5 miles from Thirsk and 6 miles from Northallerton with their shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a pub serving excellent food in Knayton, within walking distance.
The Mistal sleeps up to 4 and has an open plan living /dining/ kitchen with vaulted ceiling and a feature wood burning stove. There is also a sofa bed suitable for occasional use by up to two extra persons (extra charges may apply) and a downstairs cloakroom/WC. The kitchen is well appointed with built in microwave, oven, induction hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms each with an en-suite shower room and zip and link bed. Outside there is a private patio with seating and a BBQ, overlooking the fishing lake and the hills.
The Granary is a one bedroom house with bedroom (with room for a baby’s cot) and en-suite bathroom on the first floor. Downstairs there is a spacious living room with a separate kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is well fitted with a combination oven/microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, induction hob and dishwasher. The cottage overlooks a pretty cobbled courtyard on one side and the tennis court and stables on the other. There is a terrace with seating and another patio with seating and a BBQ.
Both properties benefit from underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. Both cottages also have good, free WiFi connections
In the grounds there is a recently re-surfaced tennis court and a well-stocked coarse fishing lake, both of which are available for guests to use, free of charge. There is also a children’s play area with swings, trampoline, slide and seesaw available for use by children over 3 and under 12 under adult supervision.
There is also a stable block and ménage and guests are welcome to bring their own horses on holiday with them, stabling and grazing can be arranged at extra charge, please contact the owners.
