Clyde House is a period property and is situated in the centre of Leyburn, it dates from approximately 1750.
There are two twin bedded rooms, two standard double rooms and one superior double room, all with ensuite showers. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, hospitality trays with fresh milk and homemade bisciuts, flat screen TV, bath robes and free Wi-Fi connection.
The rooms facing the garden have a beautiful view of Middleham. Our acclaimed breakfast is prepared by Mrs Flynn, and is a feast to enjoy, with a wide selection of freshly prepared fruit compotes, cereals, full Yorkshire breakfast, Smoked Salmon and scrambled egg, Oak smoked Kippers and Whitby smoked Haddock with poached egg. All products are locally sourced.
Leyburn is the main market town of Wensleydale and Clyde House is perfectly placed to visit the many attractions within a short drive of Leyburn, York, Harrogate, and Helmsley, to name a few.
Whilst staying at Clyde House there are numerous local attractions to visit, Lightwater Valley, Jervaulx Abbey, Castle Bolton, Wensleydale Creamery, The Black Sheep Brewery, Theaskstons Brewery, Wensleydale Railway, Fountains Abbey.
Throughout the year Leyburn hosts several events, The Dales Festival of Food in May, “1940’s weekend in July, the Wensleydale Show at the end of August and also the famous auction house “Tennants” holds specialist sales during the year. As well as these they are the traditional activities such as fishing, walking, horse riding, shooting and golf. There are famous horse racing stables ten minutes away in Middleham and on Good Friday of each year the stables open their yards to the general public.
